Once Astrid and Omar Thorpe started making homemade ice cream and sorbet for their coffee shop, it was clear that they had found their calling. Pivoting from coffee, they opened Creme & Cocoa Creamery in 2018 and have built a loyal community following, who flock to the shop for its its Caribbean flavors, such as rum raisin and sorrel sorbet, inspired by Thorpe’s childhood in Panama and his wife’s Haitian background.
