Erik Hunter opened Dead Line in 2017 to bring elevated cocktails and Latin-inspired food to Pioneer Square’s historic core. The name nods to Yesler Way, once called “the dead line” for separating the city’s wealthier north from the rougher south, and the cocktail lounge plays on that contrast with moody design and warm hospitality. The kitchen turns out arepas, ceviche, feijoada, and seasonal small plates, and the bar hosts cocktail classes and a bartender academy.
