DND Soul Cuisine takes its visitors on a journey down South, serving up platefuls of authentic soul food favorites like cornmeal-crusted catfish and fried chicken served up with a side of collard greens. After noticing the lack of southern food spots in Tacoma, Marie Johns-Davis decided to take her family recipes and start up a restaurant of her own.
Don’t skip on their famous shrimp po’ boy, served on a butter-toasted hoagie roll and topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, and their special Aioli sauce with a side of house fries. Make sure to come hungry and leave some room for dessert: a slice of their peach cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream is the perfect way to finish a meal.
