Owner James Jang opened Donburi in 2013 and it quickly became an Adams Morgan staple. As its name suggests, the restaurant serves exclusively donburi, Japanese rice bowls topped with meat, veggies, and sauce. 

Opt for the Spicy Sakedon bowl topped with chopped salmon, thinly sliced onions, and fish eggs, or the Toridon bowl, which comes with charred chicken thigh smothered in a spicy Gochujan marinade. Each option is filling, delicious, and healthy— the ultimate comfort food.
