In 1976, Florence Wilpon, Gene Wilpon, Aaron Wenzelberg used their Austrian baking background to craft the perfect bagel. Within two years Ess-a-Bagel won #1 bagel in the Tri-State area, and had a loyal fan-base. When Florence passed away, her sister Muriel Frost and niece Melanie Frost took over, carrying on the family tradition of bagels made with love.
