In the early 1980s, Mary Wesley realized that there were no black florists in her community! So, she went back to school, acquired the necessary skills, and opened up Flowers Just-4-U, where she has been arranging flowers for all occasions since 1984. Since then, she’s survived gentrification, a looming eviction, and the pandemic with the support of her community. And in 2024, she celebrates 40 years in business.
