After going to school for fashion design, Hazzel Svvengar learned a lot of distasteful things about the fashion industry, particularly how unsustainable it is for workers and the environment. She started seeing a rise in popularity of vintage and secondhand clothing as a more sustainable alternative, so in 2020 she opened Forager Vintage. Hazzel believes there are so many great and beautiful things that exist already, which we can salvage and breathe new life into. That is her goal with Forager. She collects and curates forgotten goods to share the neglected beauty hiding in the world and to make sustainable shopping more accessible and inspiring.
