Fresh Soul

The Brown family wants you to nourish your soul — and eat well while you’re at it. Lorrie, Michael, and Michaela run Fresh Soul, a cozy BBQ joint, which features staples like ribs, fried chicken, gumbo, jambalaya, and catfish and fried green tomato sandwiches.

And it’s not just about the food either. The Browns also use their restaurant, which is part of the nonprofit Spokane Eastside Reunion Association, to teach local teens job skills with an opportunity to get hired at the end of the program.
