The bright, welcoming atmosphere of Friendship Kitchen reflects owner Trang Nguyen’s bubbly personality. After moving from Vietnam to the United States at age 13, Trang fought homesickness through cooking. Preparing her favorite Vietnamese dishes made her feel connected with her homeland despite the distance. She opened Friendship Kitchen in 2020 and has been up her favorite meals with a smile ever since.
At the bar, Trang mixes cheekily named cocktails like the Ho Chi Mama, made with lychee purée, lemon, and vodka, and the Sexy Tiger, a delicious blend of tequila, Thai tea, and passion fruit.
