Four longtime coffee industry veterans, Alex Sciarrotta, Nate Reppert, Josh Modisette, and Brandon Paul Weaver, opened Gloom Coffee in January 2026 in the former Elm Coffee Roasters space in Pioneer Square. The roaster and coffee bar focuses on sustainably-sourced beans, careful pour-overs, and pastries. Gloom Coffee also has a coffee-based nonalcoholic cocktail menu in the works.
