Ras Peynado is a fifth-generation farmer and second-generation merchant at Pike Place Market in Seattle. He founded Herban Farm NW in 2012 as a way to share his talent and skills in herb farming with the world. His North Seattle herb farm offers rich soil to grow a variety of herbs and hot peppers to create his spice and herb blends, hot sauces, hot honey, and other flavorful creations that will bring your dishes to life.

Before Ras grew up watching his mother make crafts and sell them at Pike Place Market. Eventually, she became the Market Master and Farm Program Manager. His father was a fourth-generation farmer in Jamaica, and after a. trip there, Ras decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps and continue their legacy of farming and entrepreneurship.
