Homestate is bringing Texas flavor to California. When owner Briana Valdez first moved to Los Angeles she noticed a lack of Texas-style Mexican food and quickly decided that something needed to be done. After working at Bouchon, an acclaimed restaurant in the surrounding area, Briana realized that she could bring this dream to life, so she opened Homestate. With an initial investment from her mother and after finding the ideal location, her doors finally opened in 2013. Now, her restaurant is thriving and offers everything from a variety of breakfast tacos with pasture-raised eggs to migas and fresh queso, tortillas, and much more.
