The original HRD Coffee Shop was born in 1953, a Chinese immigrant’s labor of love that catered to nearby Social Security Administration employees. In 2009, the community spot was acquired by Chef David Yeung, who was eager to bring a unique dining experience to the SoMa area. The menu reflects the multicultural neighborhoods of San Francisco, highlighting influences from Mexico, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, and more. His fusion concept never ceases to excite. You can order a banh mi wrap stuffed with shrimp katsu or a kimchee burrito with tender bulgogi beef.

Bonus: HRD caters!
