The original HRD Coffee Shop was born in 1953, a Chinese immigrant’s labor of love that catered to nearby Social Security Administration employees. In 2009, the community spot was acquired by Chef David Yeung, who was eager to bring a unique dining experience to the SoMa area. The menu reflects the multicultural neighborhoods of San Francisco, highlighting influences from Mexico,┬áKorea, Vietnam, Japan, and more. His fusion concept never ceases to excite. You can order a banh mi wrap stuffed with shrimp katsu or a kimchee burrito with tender bulgogi beef.
