Established in 1979, IPSB (School of Integrative Psycho-Structural Bodywork) was purchased in 2023 by two of its married staff members who’ve been teaching there since the 90s and early 2000s. The school teaches massage therapy, craniosacral, and other bodywork modalities.
As Lesbian owners, Cyndi and Sabrina Ortolano are determined to keep the school a safe and inclusive space for all identities so that careers in massage therapy and other healing modalities are accessible to everyone.
“Nearly half our community of students and alumni are queer, trans, and/or BIPOC,” says Sabrina. “This school and the community it has created is the safest most supportive environment we’ve ever experienced, and the bodywork we do is some of the most inclusive, trauma-informed work training available.”
The couple also plans to open a community wellness clinic by the end of the year.
