In 2007, Rachel Yang and Seif Chirchi’s opened their first restaurant, Joule. The couple have since become promiment figures in Seattle’s food world, adding Trove and Revel to their group of restaurants. Joule’s menu is widely praised for the use nontraditional cuts of beef to create its innovative Korean-fusion steakhouse fare.

  1. Every so often I get a hankering for a burger. Not just any burger but the best burger in Seattle. When that happens, I ask my wife to bring home Joule burgers for dinner. Chef Yang’s short rib burger is seriously good. It has so much flavor, it doesn’t need much else. If burgers aren’t your thing, there are plenty of other delicious options at Joule. But man, that burger!
