In 1968, Bankhead Restaurant opened and quickly became an Atlanta staple. Since then, the restaurant’s name has changed, but their wholesome comfort food hasn’t. Today, K&K Soul Food is owned by Kimario Smith who is committed to preserving the restaurant’s warm hospitality. At K&K you’ll find classic soul food like fried chicken, moist cornbread, collard greens, and candied yams.

Pro tip: The restaurant also has a breakfast menu which features the utter deliciousness of plain grits, crunchy fatback, split sausage, and biscuits  — which you can get altogether on a plate for $5!
