In 2022, Syd Suntha opened Kottu after many big life changes — including reconnecting with his family and learning to cook family recipes — led him to open a food cart that draws on his Sri Lankan heritage. He named his cart after one of his favorite dishes, Kottu Roti — a Sri Lankan street food made with your choice of curry, roti (flatbread), and other toppings.
