Established by Juan Yunga in Minneapolis’s Bryn Mawr neighborhood, La Mesa serves up tasty Ecuadorian- and Latin-inspired cuisine in a friendly, neighborhood bistro environment. Menu highlights include the shrimp ceviche and queso fundido, the latter of which is described as a rich and creamy cheese mixture served with six crunchy crostini. Customers also swear by the Hornado, a.k.a. slow-roasted Ecuadorian pork with fixings as well as the extensive list of craft beer, wine and cocktails.
Pro Tip: Don’t miss the homemade (smokey) salsas and Tres Leches Cake with berry coulis!
