Love by The Slice was founded by Cassandra Williams nearly 20 years ago, but recently opened its flagship store in the South End of Tacoma, Washington. In addition to offering cakes and cupcakes for any event or season, Cassandra is best known for her pound cakes, which come in flavors including almond, banana, and butter rich. The shop and catering company also serves up an array of specialty cupcakes, as well as batches of cookies sold by the half-pound (or more) in the following varieties: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, cocoon, and oatmeal.

Pro tip: Membership in the new “Cake of the Month Club” warrants a monthly delivery of Cassandra’s famous pound cake.
