As Filipino food makes its way into the mainstream American palette, chef Carlo Lamagna is excited to be a part of that momentum. His restaurant Magna, Portland’s first modern Filipino restaurant, is making a splash in the local food scene. Carlo, a Detroit-born, Chicago-trained chef, is excited to be crafting the food he loves most – juicy adobo, housemade pancit, and crispy lumpia. Carlo hopes his food will cater to all crowds, but especially to local high schoolers who can enjoy Magna’s special rice and noodle lunch dishes.

Bonus: Magna will be host to a few special creative, set-price Filipino dinners, so keep your eyes peeled!
