Partners Rick Griffith and Debra Johnson own Matter, Denver’s only design studio, manufactory, and bookstore. Rick founded the shop, which sells creative tools and art supplies for any kind of artist, or art-lover in the area. While their stock of specialty and international books and supplies would be a good enough reason to visit, it’s also used often as a community space for art and social activism events in Denver. It’s obvious that Rick and Debra run Matter with a focus on community first and focus second.
