Otmane Bezzaz, a Moroccan immigrant and longtime Pioneer Square restaurateur, opened Mediterranean Mix in 1999 to bring affordable Mediterranean dishes to the neighborhood. The cafeteria-style spot serves gyros, kebabs, falafel, spanakopita, and rice plates with sauces and sides drawing from Spain, Morocco, Lebanon, and Greece. Open into the early morning, it has been a reliable late-night stop for downtown workers, students, and stadium crowds for over 25 years.
