Chocolatier Michael Benner and Curtis Wallis founded Michael’s Chocolates in 2017 in San Francisco. This power couple made strides in the chocolate industry using Michael’s skills from the California Culinary Academy and Ecole Chocolat to produce wonderful creations, while Curtis is the brains behind their sales and marketing. In October of 2021, they created their first brick-and-mortar retail location in Oakland. The pair hopes to offer classes from chocolate making to pairing sweets with wine and will offer house-made marshmallows and hot chocolate.
Fun Fact: Michael was awarded the 2021 6 Star Grand Master best chocolatier and confectioner in the U.S. by the International Chocolate Salon!
