New Century Tea Gallery

Dafe Chen and Grace Li opened New Century Tea Gallery in 1999, naming it for the turn of the millennium and bringing Dafe’s family heritage in Chinese tea growing into a small Maynard storefront across from Hing Hay Park. The shop carries more than 70 varieties of black, green, oolong, jasmine, pu-er, and flower teas, alongside Yi Xing teapots, teaware, and tea-themed gifts. Free tea tastings are scheduled regularly, with the owners walking visitors through origins, brewing methods, and the medicinal values of each leaf.
