Established in 2010, One Love Island Cuisine in Oceanside is best known for its unique flavors and accommodating Jamaican-style customer service. The restaurant is owned by Sean and Cammal Walker, who both grew up in Jamaica. The menu combines authentic Jamaican food spices and recipes with southern California culture to create a never-experienced-before Caribbean and Latin fusion. Menu highlights include the jerk chicken, the coconut curry, and the jumbo jerk BBQ wings. One Love also offers beef, chicken and fish tacos, as well as fried plantains that have been described as “melt in your mouth” good.
Pro Tip: On weekends, the Walkers serve up whole red snapper, brown stew chicken and a special ackee and saltfish dinner.
