In the 1950s, an entirely new company was spun off from Pacific Iron & Metal, a recycling business, to handle the growing fabric business. The company was named Pacific Iron’s Fabric World and eventually evolved into what is known today as Pacific Fabrics.

Owned by Wendy and Douglas Glant, the store’s reputation for outstanding service, innovative and forward-thinking products, and an unbeatable selection set it apart from national chain stores. Pacific Fabrics is dedicated to advancing sewing and textile arts through its classes and programs, and they support local events designed for sewists, quilters, knitters, and other crafty people. The customers are considered family and have trusted Pacific Fabrics for generations.
