Established as a coffee pop-up in October 2020, owners Ben Willis and Jeffrey Clark opened Parable’s first brick and mortar location in downtown Columbus in July 2022. Parable operates on a gratuity-free system to ensure stable wages and authenticity for their employees and offers customer a “pay what you like” program. They only seek out coffee from high-quality roasters like Deeper Roots Coffee in Cincinnati, Brandywine Coffee of Delaware, Onyx Coffee Lab in Arkansas, Black & White Coffee of North Carolina, and Sey Coffee in Brooklyn.
