Phoenix Bar

Originally established as The Bar in 1991, Phoenix Bar has weathered blackouts, hurricanes, and crises in between, and never shuttered, striving to serve a community and neighborhood it holds more dear than the strong drinks poured every night. In 2011, Brenda Walsh bought the gay hangout, spruced the place up, and reopened with the original vibe intact. The crowd is hip, but not pretentious, many lured by the cheap yet quality drinks. If you’re hungry, don’t worry. Phoenix Bar also has an affordable menu of classic bar foods.
