PizzaPlex

PizzaPlex combines two of Alessandra Carreon’s passions: pizza and community. Alessandra and her husband, Drew McUsic, opened the Detroit restaurant in 2017 and have worked to transition the restaurant into a worker-owned company. Unlike the plethora of local Detroit-style pizza spots, PizzaPlet serves up traditional Neapolitan-style pizza at shockingly affordable prices. Their large space welcomes big groups who come in droves to enjoy fresh Margherita and Capricciosa pizzas with wine and cocktails.

Fun fact: The restaurant’s recipes were drawn from Alessandra’s Italian heritage and experience working in pizza kitchens.
