Camilla Eckersley and Davora Lindner founded Prairie Underground in 2004 after relocating from Nebraska to Seattle to create a sustainable women’s clothing line rooted in organic textiles, hemp, and domestically sourced fabrics. In April 2026 they opened a Pioneer Square pop-up inside the historic Grand Central Building through the Seattle Restored program, sharing their locally sewn collection with downtown shoppers. The label’s pieces are still made within 15 minutes of their Seattle studio by a small in-house team and a handful of independent sewing contractors.
