Pretty Parlor

Artist Anna Lange inherited her passion for making the old new again from her mother, who grew up in the back of a tailor’s shop and learned the art of mending and restoring garments. Today, she brings that joy into curating Pretty Parlor, which opened in Capitol Hill in 2001 as a destination for vintage fashion lovers.

At her shop, Anna has amassed a collection of retro-inspired frocks, pre-loved vintage clothes, and garments made by local designers. Pretty Parlor is also home to a bridal boutique, which offers vintage wedding dresses, accessories, and newly made reproductions of gowns from various eras of glamour.
