Puddin’ owner Toyin Alli offers Louisiana comfort food with Southern hospitality and charm. Toyin opened Puddin’s first location in 2010 in Capitol Hill’s renowned Eastern Market and has since expanded into Union Market and two food trucks. You can’t go wrong when ordering from Puddin’s small but mighty menu — you’ll find crawfish etouffee, chicken and beef sausage gumbo, creamy shrimp and grits, and their signature dish and namesake brown butter bread pudding.

Fun Fact: Toyin is involved in D.C.’s Project Empowerment — an initiative that focuses on hiring people who face barriers to employment, like those with criminal records or those with no job experience.
