The contemporary structure for childcare and education shifted drastically following the COVID-19 pandemic. To address the needs of students and parents, Ashley Kiboigo opened Safe Haven WiFi Cafe. At Safe Haven, students are required to wear masks and their temperature and lack of symptoms are logged upon entry. They receive healthy snacks at safe intervals throughout the day and get appropriate tutoring support as they attend online classes and do their classwork. Parents can pay for enrollment week-to-week or for a drop-in day as needed. The program is open to students K-12!
