Salmon Creek Cafe was established in 2017 by owner EJ Kim, who decided to open the cozy cafe in Burien after years of dreaming about it. Known as the “Home of High 5 Pie,” Salmon Creek serves up vintage-style homemade pies in four delicious flavors — Classic Apple, Cherry, Marionberry, and Key lime — which are also available by the slice. The cafe offers breakfast all day long, alongside its lunch and dinner options, and brunch on weekends. Menu standouts include a variety of freshly baked pastries, biscuits and gravy, and the Hot Ham & Swiss Deluxe, which is served open-faced on a biscuit with bacon and the cafe’s signature spicy sauce.
