The spot where Sami’s Corner Store now sits has been a beloved community market since 1998. Samuel Abera’s parents immigrated as refugees from Eritrea, and owned the store before he inherited it in 2018! When he inherited it, he was determined to continue their legacy and breathe new life into the space. Today, Sami’s Corner Store is stocked with traditional market goods including drink and snacks — but also hard-to-find East African spices.

Fun fact: The corner store is looking to expand and renovate, and supporting the business helps further their mission!
