San Juan Island Coffee Roasters is a small-batch, specialty coffee roaster and waterfront cafe in Friday Harbor, Washington. Opened in 1990, it’s one of the longest-standing businesses in the area. Owners Mary and Evan Perrollaz, who were long-time customers before they bought the cafe, took over in 2022 from Steve and Irene Herring. After Irene was diagnosed with cancer which led to ongoing treatment, Steve and Irene sold the business to help pay medical expenses, and the new owners are continuing the legacy of the community cafe in their honor. Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee or espresso drink at their cafe, or take home a bag of quality, fresh-roasted beans.
