SanKai owner Ryuichi Nakano, who honed his craft at I Love Sushi on South Lake Union and Kisaku, has been serving Seattle’s sushi lovers for decades. Now, Ryuichi brings his talents to SanKai (which translates to mountain/sea) that he opened in Downtown Edmonds in 2019. Ryuichi works with his wife, Yuka, and their son, Toru, to create a warm and inviting dining experience that’s ideal for a family dinner or a date night. SanKai specializes in traditional Japanese sushi, omakase, and cuisine and serves tapped beer, wine, sake, and Japanese spirits.
