Shiku is a mom-and-pop Korean food stall located in Downtown LA’s Grand Central Market. They serve homestyle Korean food like Andong-style soy-braised chicken and hambagu steak with daily rotating banchan. As factory farming has all but run many ancient Korean vegetable varietals extinct, husband-and-wife owners Kwang Uh and Mina Park are committed to sharing and preserving Korean traditions and vegetable preparations. With the help of Second Generation Seeds, an organization that preserves and supplies endangered plant seeds, Shiku works with their California farmer, Kristyn Leach, who supplies their food stall with Korean greens and veggies.
