Shane and Shelly Quinn opened Sluggers in March 1998 in a long, skinny 1910 warehouse that once made way for a railroad pathway, just steps from Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park. The Pioneer Square sports bar has built a nearly three-decade following as a no-frills pre- and post-game spot for stadium crowds, with classic bar food, cold beer, and TVs going on every game. Sluggers stays busy with regulars who appreciate the easy welcome and the 17-and-a-half-foot-wide quirk of the historic building.
