An international woman of style and taste, Fiona Mak grew up in Hong Kong before attending university in the U.S. After graduating with a degree in Hospitality Management from Syracuse University, she began her prolific career in the restaurant industry and eventually trained with the Court of Master Sommelier and earned the Certified Sommelier title.
Fiona opened SMAK, a unique winery focusing only on Rosé, in Walla Walla, Washington. SMAK will bring you the ultimate Rosé experience. It’s more than just wine, it’s setting a sense of place, a mindset, and a lifestyle.
Fun Fact: Fiona wanted to pay homage to her Chinese Heritage and her Chinese name is Sui Wah MAK, so SMAK is a combination of her Initial (S) and her last name (MAK).
