In 1962, Sylvia Woods opened a restaurant that quickly became a Harlem destination, winning multiple awards from peers, community leaders, politicians, and more. Now, her children and grandchildren run the restaurant, building on the once 15-seat luncheonette restaurant and turning it into a can’t miss culinary experience. The menu is full of chicken and waffles, ribs, and other soul food favorites and is complimented by Sylvia’s gospel brunch Sundays and live music Wednesdays.
