After their beloved restaurant Teryaki Plus went out of business, the Lee family opened the Latin Asian inspired Ta Joia in 2021. The dishes are inspired by their Korean heritage and the time Yoo-Mi Lee spent in Brazil. Customers are drawn in by the unique combination of cuisines and the new restaurant has given the family the opportunity to cook what they want and love! Their love shows in every dish, from their meatry trio of brisket, pork, and sausage Ta Joia Special, to their bulgogi beef, to their classic teriyaki.

Fun fact: “Ta Joia” comes from a Brazilian phrase meaning “everything is good.” Similarly pronounced, “da joah” means almost the exact same thing in Korean.
