Martin and Elonka Perez opened Taco Street in 2017 to bring the flavors of Chihuahua, Mexico to the Pacific Northwest, starting with a street cart in Seattle before landing at the Point Ruston Waterfront Market in 2021. Elonka, the executive chef and founder, built the menu around the slow-cooked, chile-forward cooking of her home region, and the barbacoa is what keeps people coming back. Tacos, burritos, chilaquiles, and carne asada fries round things out, along with house-made horchata and the fan-favorite Agua Locas topped with Mexican candies.
