Lorna and Roy Nicol want to make you feel at home when you visit That’s What I Like! where their love of cooking shows in their home-cooked Filipino dishes and classic American eats.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Lorna feels at home when she cooks and serves the recipes she grew up eating, including roasted lechon kawali (crispy pork belly), bulalo (a beef shank soup with veggies), and pork or chicken adobo. Roy, who is a career DJ, has an equal passion for cooking and music. You’ll often be able to find live music or karaoke at their Bellingham restaurant while you enjoy lumpia, pancit (stir-fried rice noodles), sizzling pork sisig, or even a sirloin steak.
Bonus: While the Nicol’s menu has plenty of meaty dishes, they also have some vegetarian offerings, including lumpia filled with vegetables and ground veggie burger, vegetable pancit, and customizable fried rice plates.
