Smoove Gardner and Nicci Boroski own Bloomington’s only dedicated LGBTQ+ space, The Backdoor. Smoove and Nicci strive to offer a little something for everyone and a place where people can be themselves. Through community building, mutual aid, performance, revelry, and dance, The Backdoor promotes queer liberation. The bar hosts at least one event every week, including drag shows, benefits, live music, screenings, and more.
