Sisters Yenvy and Quynh Pham relaunched The Boat in 2022 inside the iconic boat-shaped structure that was the original Phở Bắc location until 2018, sitting in the parking lot of Phở Bắc Súp Shop. The kitchen made its name on cơm gà mắm tỏi (Vietnamese garlic chicken rice) and chicken-and-waffle plates, earning Seattle Met’s Restaurant of the Year in 2023 and a James Beard nomination for the Pham family. It is part of a multigenerational Vietnamese restaurant family that has anchored Seattle’s phở scene for over 40 years.
