The Press Room offers a step back in time, a glimpse into Tacoma’s rich history. The newly restored building, originally built in the 1920s to house Tacoma’s New Tribune, now serves as a stylish wedding and event venue. Owners Ruby and George Chambers wanted to update the space while retaining as much of the building’s original beauty as possible. Design details like the original steel beams and wooden floors pay homage to the space’s 100-year history while new additions like the elegant chandeliers offer a contemporary edge.

The 7,000-square-foot venue can seat over 200 guests and features a sweeping main floor with a 30-foot custom bar. Scattered throughout are historical artifacts from the building’s early days. Come for the drinks and dancing and leave with a few new facts about Tacoma’s history!
