Teaching multilingual learners is at the core of why Jill Woodruff became a teacher. As a first-generation daughter of Peruvian and Mexican parents, she wanted to create a preschool to truly serve bilingual children in all their social/emotional needs, including providing them with a foundational education that honors and celebrates their cultural wealth.
She opened Valencia Nature School in Bonney Lake, WA in 2023 to provide a unique space featuring nature for young children to feel empowered to use their languages.
