Chef Jasper Shen opened XLB in 2017 and brought on Chef Laura Tran as a business partner two years later. Laura was one of the restaurant’s first employees and previously worked with Jasper at his other restaurant, Aviary.
XLB’s team specializes in xiao long bao, baozi, and a variety of Chinese comfort foods. At the restaurant, you’ll find a family-friendly atmosphere and a thoughtfully designed space to enjoy a meal with your loved ones.
Jasper and Laura both believe that food is political. It embodies resilience, stories, and ancestry. They also believe that a healthy work environment is a right and that there is room for everyone at the table. These values are reflected in the way they do business at XLB.
