What’s your favorite part about the community your business is in and why? The community loves to support my business. We get business from all kinds of people that love our tamales and everything else. Especially vegetarians because I have a large vegetarian menu.

Why is it important to you and your business that people #SpendLikeItMatters? It’s important for my business and my family because we are a family-owned business and we support the community back.

As a business owner, what’s the strangest or craziest idea you’ve ever tried?  Completely expand my business plan. My original idea was to just sell coffee and pan but we switched it up from 2 things to 20+ items.

What’s something your customers may not know about you or your business? I opened a coffee shop because I used to work repairing espresso machines and that’s the equipment I knew how to handle and fix and it just kept growing from there.

What are some of your favorite local businesses and why?  The fruit stand down the road from me, they have a great variety of products and it’s easily accessible to me.

Anything else you’d like us to know about you and your business?  [The cafe is] full family owned and operated, tamales are [a] family recipe, and we are open for everyone.
